National Program Director/Principal Investigator
Cathy Morales brings over 25 years of experience in human services and health-related work at both the community and national level with underserved populations to her role as National Project Director at REACH. Cathy served as the Executive Director of the Boston Living Center (BLC), a community-based wellness center serving people living with HIV/AIDS, from 2000 -2008. She was instrumental in the selection of the BLC to serve as a model for the development of a wellness center for people living with HIV/AIDS in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Upon moving to Washington, DC in 2008, Cathy served as the Director of Community Health Access for the District of Columbia Primary Care Association. She established the organization’s first Health Corps Program and participated in a collaborative effort with the University of the District of Columbia on the development of a comprehensive Community Health Worker Training program. Most recently, Cathy served as the Executive Director of the Association of Nutrition Services Agencies (ANSA), a national organization dedicated to strengthening the capacity of food and nutrition providers around the country that serve critically ill individuals. Cathy earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and a Bachelors of Science in Human Services from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA.
